SoundArt was founded by Mark Butcher. Mark's whose background is in the specialist audio visual installation sector, managing a number of high tech installations solutions providers.
The creation of SoundArt came through customers seeking speaker solutions that would integrate completely with interior design.
The development of the SoundArt concept began in 2003 when the first prototype picture panel speakers were produced. The success of these prototypes's prompted the incorporation of SoundArt and in May 2004 SoundArt UK Limited was formed.
In order to create high quality sound reproduction a specialist British speaker manufacturer was enlisted to develop a completely bespoke subwoofer that would drive the picture panel speakers. The prototype was tested, tweaked, improved and over a lengthy period the SoundArt SA-02 system was born.
Following the successful product delivery in 2005 SoundArt recruited Jeremy Curtis as Managing Director, an individual with 25 years experience in the consumer electronics industry.
With the new management team in place the SoundArt brand was created and an integrated marketing strategy was implemented by the marketing agency Silver Chair.
In January 2006 SoundArt UK Limited reached agreement with DegreeArt.com to provide the Artist of the Month material in a collaborative marketing exercise. In February 2006 the Authorised Stockists network was established and the product was launched in the UK market.

Mark Butcher founded SoundArt in 2003; the business was incorporated as a limited company in May 2004.
The management team of Jeremy Curtis (Managing Director) and Mark Butcher (Founder), was formed in October 2005.
The company delivers a new home entertainment solution - sound delivered through canvas art. The product is delivered through a cross section of nationwide stockists including photographers, AV installers and interior designers, who are easily located via the corporate web site.
Customers can make their SoundArt System individual to them using images from any number of sources including their own. SoundArt has a number of imaging partners who provide customers with a wide range of images solutions.
SoundArt UK Limited is registered in England with the company registration number 5121678 and a registered office at Suite 3, Warren House, Main Road, Hockley, Essex SS5 4QS.
